The SIAM™ Professional Certificate tests a candidate’s knowledge and skills of the activities in the four stages of the SIAM roadmap. A candidate who successfully completes the SIAM™ Professional Certificate can analyse, plan, build and inspect a multi-service provider environment.

What is Service Integration and Management (SIAM)?
Service Integration and Management (SIAM) is a proven methodology for managing IT services delivered by multiple providers. About the SIAM Professional Course
Service Integration and Management (SIAM) also a synonym: multi-sourcing integration (MSI). Within the scope of this certification, only the term Service Integration and Management is used.
The SIAM™ Professional Certificate tests a candidate’s knowledge of the application of Service Integration and Management (SIAM) to situations and the candidate’s ability to further analyse the SIAM concepts. The certification looks at managing multiple service providers and integrating them seamlessly to provide a single business-facing IT organisation. It also looks at the knowledge and skills required to navigate the 4 stages of the SIAM roadmap.
This course has been updated to reflect the refreshed BoK V3.

Are there any prerequisites for this course?
A thorough knowledge of SIAM is required. Previous completion of the SIAM™ Foundation exam is strongly recommended but not mandatory.
A good level of knowledge about IT Service Management is also recommended.
What are the exam requirements and pass mark?
The EXIN SIAM™ Professional tests a candidate’s knowledge of the application of SIAM™ to situations and the candidate’s ability to further analyse the SIAM concepts. The certification looks at managing multiple service providers and integrating them seamlessly to provide a single business-facing IT organisation. It also looks at the knowledge and skills required to navigate the 4 stages of the SIAM roadmap.
To be awarded the SIAM Professional certification, you must the complete the examination:
- A 90-minute, 40 question multiple-choice exam is administered by the global examination body; EXIN.
- This is a closed-book exam, with no notes or blank paper allowed
- You must attain a passing mark of 65% (26/40) to be awarded the certificate.
Requirements for Certification
- Successful completion of the EXIN SIAM™ Professional based on the Scopism SIAM BoK V3 exam.
- Completion of accredited EXIN SIAM™ Professional course, including completion of the Practical Assignments.
Please ensure familiarity with the case study before attempting the exam. All questions rely on insights and situations coming from the case study.
How are the exam and assignments conducted?
If you attend a virtual classroom course with us, you will be provided an online exam voucher on the first day of your course.
The practical assignments are completed during the 2-day facilitated course and you will need to be familiar with the case study for the examination.
On day 1, you will receive an email from EXIN with instructions on how to register and book your exam online.
- Scheduling: You can book your exam on the EXINwebsite, at a time that suits you. The schedule is available 24/7.
- Before the exam (online proctoring): A live proctor will confirm your identity (photo ID required) using your webcam.
- Duration: The online exam duration is 90 minutes; we recommend you allow an extra 30 minutes for setup and authentication.
- Requirements: A computer, webcam, speakers, a quiet private space, and a stable internet connection.
- Results: Preliminary results are usually available immediately after you finish.
- Voucher validity: Your exam voucher is valid for 12 months, but we recommend sitting the exam as soon as possible after the course while the content is fresh.
