DTMethod® Professional Course & Examination

Design Thinking (DT) is an approach to creating solutions. DTMethod allows you to easily introduce Design Thinking into your organisation and take advantage of this approach. Our DTMethod® Professional course prepares you for the exam leading to the DTMethod® Professional Certification. 

This course is held in our virtual classroom over 2-days with our expert instructor, meaning you can join the class and network with your peers from anywhere with an internet connection. 

Course Overview

The DTMethod Professional training is addressed to designers who want to learn new tools and deepen their competences in conducting stakeholder research. The outcome of the training is:  

• Improved interviewing skills (in-depth and contextual)  
• Improving questionnaire design skills  
• Improving observation skills 
• Learning about new tools useful in the difference phases of the DTModel.  

The tools presented at the practitioner level are not better, more advanced, or more difficult. They are different tools that will be used in different situations. Tools are interchangeable with those learned at the foundation level, and can be adapted to your design thinking process.

Prerequisites

DTMethod® Foundation certification is the prerequisite for this course.

Exam & Certification

This course prepares participants for the examination leading to DTMethod® Professional certificate, granted by APMG International

• Exam is 2.5 hours 
• 80 questions, 40 correct answers is required to pass (50%) 
• The examination is to be taken with the support of the DTMethod Workbook and the Design Thinking Basics: an introduction to the DTMethod book. 
• You will receive an exam voucher for the web-based exam, to be scheduled after the course. 
• Upon passing your exam a digital badge will be awarded by APMG International. 

Course Material & Inclusions

This course comes with access to our e-materials. Material for this course will be provided as downloadable soft-copy files that can be viewed on a variety of devices. Attendees may print a hard copy of the files in whatever format best meets their needs. 

DTMethod® Professional online exam voucher, this is issued from APMG International (global examination body) on the first morning of the course. The schedule is available 24/7 so you can book and register for your exam at a time that suits. A webcam and internet connection is required.

A digital badge you can share with your network will be provided via email upon passing your certification exam with APMG.
